Pharmacy Territory Manager

Location: Dublin South

Salary: €40-45k + bonus + car + Commission 

 

Job Overview:

Our client has an exciting opportunity with a market leading vitamin and supplement supplier, for an experienced Territory Manager. The successful person will be predominantly managing a range of Pharmacy accounts across the Leinster region.


Responsibilities:

• To achieve sales and margin targets as agreed with the commercial manager
• Identify new business opportunities to target and achieve new customers
• To grow sales through the introduction of new product, improved product listings and 
working with customers to ensure that the brand is properly represented on in store 
planograms
• Creating joint business development plans with key customers and implementation of these 
plans
• To develop strong working relationships with key influencers within our customer base
• To develop promotional plans in conjunction with the marketing team to ensure that the 
brand is being promoted in a manner to assist in driving sales and that in-store pharmacy 
promotional activity forms part of these plans 
• Conducting product sales training sessions with pharmacy staff in both off-site group 
sessions and also at store level to ensure that pharmacy teams are properly trained 
• Reviewing competitor activity and feeding back relevant information to the Operations and 
Marketing teams
• Dealing with any customer service issues or product delivery issues
• Liaising with production to provide sales forecasts to ensure that adequate stocks of product 
are available to meet demand and assisting in the resolution of short date and slow moving 
stock issues
• Contributing to the company wide process of identifying new product opportunities
• Other ad-hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Skills:

• 2 / 3 years’ experience in dealing with retail pharmacy groups, pharmacy buying groups and 
independent retail pharmacies (ideally within VMS or OTC products)
• Strong commercial and numeric skills with an ability to analyse customer sales data and to 
identify gaps and opportunities
• An ability to work as part of a wider commercial team and to manage your own time 
effectively in a fast paced environment
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Hard working and motivated to succeed
• Full clean driving license
