Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Salary: £22,000 - £30,000

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (Monday to Thursday 09.00 - 17.30, Fridays are 09.00 to 17.00)

The Company is a successful manufacturer and supplier of bulk-purchase FMCG to wholesalers, independent buying groups and large direct buyers. Their products are sold in over 100 countries across 5 continents and they employ a diverse team of multi-lingual professionals to deliver exceptional global sales.

All their brands and products are developed and specified in Britain and they have dedicated and wholly-owned administration and production facilities in India and China.

They are now looking for a seasoned international sales professional with a strong track record in export business development, lead generation and account management as well as the commercial acumen necessary to build on their achievements to date.

Based at their Bradford headquarters, you will help drive the strategic decision-making process and their approach to international sales alongside day-to-day hands-on delivery in an entrepreneurial, sales and solution-driven environment that prioritises customer satisfaction. As well as meeting language requirements, you will be ready to maximise their FMCG exhibition and sales programme which currently includes trade and networking events in the Far East, USA and the Middle East.

Main Duties will include:

  • A self-starter with strong experience in trade sales and exceptional telephone/email/face-to-face communication and negotiation skills alongside high standards of literacy and astute commercial numeracy
  • Ambitious, tenacious and determined in meeting agreed with sales targets and resilient in handling any buyer objections
  • Articulate, confident and persuasive with the meeting presence and presentation skills necessary to sell effectively to individuals, small groups and larger groups for whom English may be a second language
  • While good at taking the initiative and leading change, a good team player in a wider environment where staff co-operation is essential
  • Highly organised with the commercial ability to analyse customer and market data and identify and anticipate new opportunities

The skill-set required to be successful in this post include:

  • Making contact and forming productive and profitable relationships with importers, distributors, large wholesalers, multiple retail chain operators and dealers across the globe
  • Selling all products from the their International stable of brands
  • Supporting business development through cross-selling, up-selling, offers and campaign promotions targeting existing, new and lapsed clients
  • Delivering across the entire sales journey from lead generation to close
  • Managing and monitoring the progress of orders online from order receipt to export
  • Managing documentation requests in coordination with relevant internal departments
  • Supporting customer service and customer satisfaction excellence through close working with related internal departments including orders, logistics and stock management
