Experienced and Committed Teaching Assistant Role (SEN) (Permanent)

Are you an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in the London Borough of Merton? The two-form entry school rated "good" on its OFSTED is searching for an enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant that is able to provide 1:1 in class support as well as being able to accommodate to specific additional learning needs for visual impairment, mobility, speech and language and attention.

We need a SEN TA who:

• Can provide 1:1 learning and care support
• Knowledge of PECs and Makaton
• Wants to join a welcoming, dedicated and motivated team
• Can achieve high standards of teaching, learning and play
• Can provide care and nurture for young children
• Seeks to further develop their skills

• Have previous experience within a similar role
• Is degree or NVQ educated
• Has excellent spoken and written English
• Has strong level of behaviour management
• Excellent communication skills

The role would be delivering intervention and support e.g. RWI catch-up, Success at Arithmetic, plus putting up displays of a very high standard, pastoral support, behaviour management, SEN, and the right candidate will need to be fluent in English, with plenty of initiative and drive.
