Pay rate - £8.21 per hour
Hours - 30 - 40 per week

About the opportunity
This is an incredible opportunity to be employed but in training to learn how to take on the role of a Groundworker on construction and civil engineering projects.
This will involve learning how to lay pipes, drainage, concreting, foundations, slabs, kerbs. All of the elements associated below ground level on a construction site.
What will you recieve?
You will complete a 12 month training programme with an established accredited training provider to eventually achieve a NVQ level 2 accreditation.
You will be given initial CSCS training as well as well as a thorough induction and foundation training in groundwork.
More about the role
You will then spend your days working closely with a team of experienced groundworkers developing first hand experience of the role and putting your training into practice to hone your skills.
The role of a groundworker is an in demand skill within the construction industry and once qualified there are excellent opportunities for salary increases and career progression.
This role is open to anyone coming from any back ground or any previous career. We encourage applications from under represented groups within construction including women and people with past criminal convictions.
About you
No previous experience required, some previous experience in a construction or manual worker would be an advantage.
Groundwork is outside work so you will need to be comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.
Being able to drive an advantage so you can travel to training courses but not essential.
