Some of the biggest technical challenges for tech companies with sights on being the next unicorns is getting geospatial data right. Uber's Kepler programme is a great example of solving such issues.
Now it's time to take it one step further and take a lead role in making it happen!
If you're up for the challenge of building world-first, 3-dimensional analytics software whilst working with a team that amongst other hefty achievements helped build the Higgs-Boson collider then this could well be for you.
As Lead Data Engineer, you'll be joining and leading the established team working with vast unstructured data sets to to expand and increase the pipeline in innovative ways. You'll be a key part of the Data function on what is a data first product whilst growing the team in the future.
It's a fast paced scale-up company and you'll be working on some seriously complex and interesting work. This isn't for everyone as you'll need to believe in the end goal to solve challenges in 3-dimentions.
You'll need to be a people person as well as someone technical. The team will be looking to you as a shining light. They are already a massivly motivated team but your job is to help them get better.
If you are a serious problem solver who doesn't give up, who can look at the bigger picture and hone down into a solution then this could be for you.
They are open to your experience as we know that problem solvers don't come in one shape and size but these skills will be highly useful:
*Leading a team
*Coding in Java, Scala, Python or Go
*Building on the cloud - AWS
*Spark
*PostgresSQL
Any experience in geospatial technologies would also be highly beneficial!
