IT Support Officer (Temporary)

Randstad have a great opportunity available for a IT Support Technician (Band 4) for a 3 month contract.

Candidates MUST have experience in an IT Support Technician role and experience working with users who have a disability.

Requirements

• EITHER Hold a minimum of a Level 4 Qualification (HNC or above), or equivalent, in a Computing/Software Engineering or other discipline relevant to Information Systems and Information Technology PLUS have a minimum of one year's demonstrable, relevant experience in an IT Technical Support role within the last 3 years AND demonstrable experience of personally working with users with disabilities OR Have at a minimum of two year's demonstrable, relevant experience in an IT Technical Support role within the last 4 years AND demonstrable experience of personally working with users with disabilities

• Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting and compliance due to the nature of this work

Responsibilities

• The post holder will provide high-quality, responsive IT support to students with complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties who are engaged with Supported Learning
• Managing users in an enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environment
• Supporting, diagnosing and repairing devices utilising Microsoft operating system(s)
• Supporting, diagnosing and repairing devices utilising Apple Operating systems
• Managing wired and wireless network connectivity problems
• The use of a wide range of applications for example on-line Office365 Email, SharePoint, Skype, Yammer, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office 2016, Sophos anti-virus etc.
• Printer installation and maintenance including replacing consumables, clearing simple faults e.g. paper jams and following diagnosis routines to provide printer supplier with detailed information on fault
• Configuration and Support of additional peripheral Systems including Data Projectors, Interactive Whiteboards etc.
