A bright 3D Artist is wanted to join the team that designed and delivered BBC Sport's ground-breaking virtual studio for the 2019/2020 football season. Since then, they have had enquiries from across the world for their specialist Virtual Studio technology and are investing in a brand-new team for this purpose.
You will see no "suit and tie"s here, this is a bunch of down-to-earth technical and creative experts collaborating to create state of the art real-time televised graphics software. They specialise in capturing, processing and visualising live sports data using innovative, attractive and informative on-screen graphics and augmented reality.
You will have a hand in creating environments for use in virtual television studios as well as 3D graphics that will be used on live broadcast productions, pushing the boundaries of what has been seen before in virtual TV studios. If you are coming in with commercial experience (though not necessary) there will be ample opportunity to take more of a lead role.
And yes: your work will be seen by hundreds of millions of people all over the world.

Experience/portfolio work demonstrating the following would be ideal:
*Knowledge of Unreal Engine
*Skills in 3D design and content creation - eg. 3D modelling, material/shader authoring, VFX creation, lighting, texturing, animation etc.
*Any environmental animation (rather than character animation) experience would be a bonus.
*Knowledge of 3DS Max also helpful.
You might be recently graduated with no commercial experience, or if you have years of exactly this type of work under your belt, or you might be somewhere in between. In any case if you love design, graphics, and know Unreal Engine; please apply.
