Night Operations Manager

Job purpose

To manage the running of the night operation including, Site, fleet, drivers and warehouse, safely within the boundaries of all current transport & warehouse legislation, whilst maintaining profitability and ensuring targets are met.

Key responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Monitor progress of all night drivers to ensure all on schedule, Amend plan accordingly if any delayed, Update night sheet with returning trailer numbers and eta back to depot.

Ensure all jobs imported from Partnerlink job-share into Sterling and matched against final manifests

Ensure all labels & offload manifests printed and passed to warehouse for all inbound Partnerlink trunks

Ensure any NCI jobs on outbound trunks are deleted in job-share and an email sent to relevant partner

Plan/Route/Manifest consignments for core area in "Macca" diary, Update traffic sheet with vehicles/routes

Print loadlists, Update DWWP and pass to warehouse supervisor

Print driver's manifests and attach corresponding delivery notes

Update trailer board with returning trunk trailers and trailers used/planned for general use

Manage rotation of night drivers by use of WTD report

To supervise Night Palletline Manager to ensure daily/weekly duties are completed by agreed deadlines

To complete mentor duties by agreed deadlines including the documenting of any meetings required

Support team members

Communicate any issues that could compromise our service

Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of all current transport legislation

Excellent planning + routing ability

Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by management.
