Family Paralegal (Permanent)

An established long-standing law firm in South Manchester are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary or Paralegal to join their Family team. The position will predominantly entail supporting 1 Family Fee Earner.

To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience as a Legal Secretary/Paralegal within a law firm with an understanding of Family Matters. This will be an active busy role and the candidate will need to be proactive in nature.

The Role:

Assisting the Family Fee Earner with a busy caseload of legal aid care and private family matters.

Diary management responsibilities including making appointments, organising meetings.

Drafting and typing Correspondence

Opening and closing files including ensuring electronic filing systems are maintained accurately and up to date

Drafting court documents.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a legal secretary/paralegal in a family department, great organisation and typing skills.

Salary circa £23,000 depending on experience. There is opportunity for paralegals to secure a training contract or progression routes through the Legal Executive Route.

The successful candidate will benefit from a down to earth and casual working environment and on-site parking is also available. My client is within 1-minute commutable distance from the train station and they are offering a competitive holiday allowance.
