One of the most popular gaming companies in the UK are looking for a Backend Engineer to join! They are on a mission to build the next generation of cloud based services for their mobile games. There games are played by almost 300 million gamers, with exciting new projects in development!
This is the perfect opportunity for a backend engineer looking for a gaming studio with a fantastic work life balance, as well as a no crunch culture! After Covid you will also be able to enjoy working from home 2 days a week, as well has private healthcare and mental health initiatives.
As the Backend Engineer you will have full autonomy and will be involved in the project from start to finish. You will have experience with high load environments, as well as the consistent delivery of well tested software.
Responsibilities:
*Designing and developing applications and databases for new gameplay, which focus on scalability, high performance, and security.
*Developing the strength of the serves via, load testing, integration, and profiling.
*Supporting the other engineers
*Plan and implement
*Research new technologies to improve their games
Key Skills:
*Strong technical knowledge with C# / .Net
*Experience working with JavaScript
*Azure / AWS (They use Azure)
*SQL / NoSQL
*Redis / Docker, Marathon or similar
*Scalable Architecture
*Low testing
*Experience working in high load environments
Bonus:
*Unity 3D
*Gaming experience but its not essential
*Good understanding of Data structures
