Best Interest Assessor - 37 hours per week - £28.00 hourly (Contract)

NonStop Consulting are looking to find an experienced Best Interest Assessor (BIA) to join a DoLS team in the North Wales area. This role will involve remote working with the majority of client visits and team meetings being held virtually. A great opportunity for an experienced BIA to join a well known authority and progress within their career.

Responsibilities of the role:

• To be responsible for a caseload of assessments for DOLS as allocated by the DOLS Manager or Practice Supervisor.
• To apply MCA/DOLS legislation and case law in practice determining whether a deprivation of liberty is occurring, that it is in the person's best interests following the checklist in the MCA, and the person meets the requirements for DOLS
• To consult sensitively with all those engaged in a person's welfare supporting those people through a complex assessment process.

Requirements of the role:

• Recognised Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Psychology Qualification
• Current registration Welsh Care Council/HCPC
• Qualified Best Interest Assessor
• Evidence of mandatory refresher training during previous 12 months
• Good working knowledge of relevant legislation specifically Mental Capacity Act, DOLS, and Human Rights Act.
