Acorn Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Credit Controller for our Warrington based client. This opportunity has immediate interviews and start date available!

Duties include:

* Assessing customers for credit worthiness, liaising with Sales Staff and with credit insurers.
* Releasing sales orders to customers in accordance with the credit limits and terms on account, and making judgement on orders where necessary.
* Raising invoices.
* Update Customer Service cases on company CRM system.
* Liaising with Customer Services and Purchasing to raise customer Credits.
* Ensuring overdue debts are reported in a timely manner to the debt insurer and that appropriate legal measures are taken.
* Posting cash receipts onto Sales Ledger and allocation to invoices.
* Banking Cheques.
* Telephone debt chasing and maintaining client communication records.
* Administering Debt Discounting procedures; reporting invoices daily.
* Maintaining up to date Credit Account Agreements UK & Export.
Filing duties.

The successful candidate must have:

* Previous credit control and debt collection experience.
* Previous experience of Credit Insurance and Debt Discounting.
* General accounting awareness.
* Ability to act upon own initiative with a professional, responsible attitude.
* Flexible working methods.
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
* PC skills - Microsoft Office
* Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) accounting package is advantageous but not essential.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm

Salary: £20k-23k dependant on experience.
