SEN TA - Secondary SEN school - North London (Contract)
Destination Education are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional secondary special needs Academy in North London. They are an outstanding specialist academy with a post 16 and post 19 provision and their pupils have a wide range of learning difficulties. They have been awarded advanced status by the autism accreditation award commitee of the national autistic society and have been judged 'outstanding' in three successive OFSTED inspections both as a maintained school and as an academy.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced, confident, passionate and hardworking SEN teaching assistant who has previous experience working with children with autism and supporting children with complex and challenging needs. Any one with specific training or certificates in manual handling, autism, epilepsy or PEG feeding would be highly advantageous!
They are looking for somebody to start after Easter and this will be an ongoing long term position. the ideal candidate will need to be available for a week's trial after Easter.
