Room Leader - Childrens Centre (Contract)

A Childrens Centre in Islington is looking to appoint an experienced Room Leader for their Toddlers/Pre-school room.

• Permanent position
• September start
• Salary £25,000
• 36 Hours per week: Mon-Fri
• 26 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

Responsibilities:
• To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
• Providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff in your room.
• To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculum are implemented and adhered to at all times
• To be influential in developing strong links with parents
• To manage all day to day operations of the nursery in the Toddler Room.
• To be able to follow
• Assume responsibility for the children and their well-being at all times

Skills/Experience/Qualifications required
• Level 3 in Childcare, NNEB or equivalent qualification
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
• Knowledge of health and safety/Safeguarding legislation
• Knowledge of OFSTED standards and inspection framework
• Ability to lead and manage
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
