Laboratory Chemicals Sales Manager (Permanent)

For one of our clients who is an international key player in the supply and production of high quality chemicals and reagents, we are looking for a sales manager specialising in laboratory chemicals to be based in their headquarters in Germany.

Ideally, the company is looking for someone with previous sales experience to join their team, however this is not a must. Which means it will be a fantastic opportunity for someone with an R&D background wanting to challenge themselves and learn new things in order to progress their career.

Tasks:

• Increasing the market share of certain laboratory and speciality chemicals
• Provide technical and sales support to customers
• Giving technical presentations on the current projects at trade shows and conferences
• Acquisition of new customers and maintaining current customer relationships
• Focusing on identifying new business opportunities
• Liaise effectively with relevant departments such as R&D

Qualifications:

• Experience in quality control techniques (pharmaceuticals preferred)
• A strong chemical background (Bachelors or Masters in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology)
• Previous experience in sales of life science products
• Have experience in dealing with clients face-to-face with good communication skills
• Have good project management and organisation skills
• Fluency in English and German
• Ability to travel up to 40%
