Our client, Scottish Power Renewables are seeking an Installation Engineer for a potential long-term contract opportunity based in either London or Glasgow.

East Anglia Hub/ Grid Package/ OSS Installation


SCOPE
The Service is to provide an installation engineering service to the EA1N & EA2 OSS package team, it is expected that this service is provided mainly by an experienced Installation Engineer who is assigned by the Consultant to deliver the scope of works.
The Scope of Services shall include but not be limited to

* Development and implementation or scope specific Tender T&I documentation (from company generic installation templates)
* Coordination and preparation of the technical documentation that is required for inclusion within the Fabrication Tender.
* Participate and support the Tender clarification process for Engineering, Fabrication, Transportation and Installation
* Technical evaluation of tender submissions relating to the T&I scope
* Providing technical assistance to the Engineering Team to ensure the OSS Design is in line with the T&I spread capabilities and Tender strategy
* Coordination of all package specific interface tasks required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the project's Interface Management Plan.
* Providing technical assistance to the consenting team to assist them in discharging the project's consent conditions.
* Ensuring lessons learned are recorded, shared and implemented with the wider business, including innovations, opportunities and equipment failures.
* Support the EA1N/2 OSS Package Management team with supplementary studies as required.
* Liaison with the Marine Warranty Surveyor service, ensuring the installation methodology is finally approved.
* Development and upkeep of project programme for Transportation and Installation.
* Development and implementation of a (T&I) specific quality assurance plan and management plan

Specific Experience

The Installation Engineer that is assigned by the Consultant shall have the qualification, experience and skills:

Qualifications

* Degree in relevant engineering discipline, preferably Naval Architecture or Civil Engineering and Master's Degree in an engineering discipline related to offshore installation works or maritime works will be positively assessed.

Experience

* Significant demonstrable experience in Offshore Substations installation. Specific references in jacket foundation, topsides, T&I, piles driving and drilling, grouting, MWS approvals, etc., will be positively assessed.
* Demonstrable experiences in:
o engineering design (structures and/or equipment)
o production of specification and tender documents
o contracts negotiations
o construction planning
o budgetary estimations

Skills
Working knowledge and understanding of:
* European Health and Safety legislation relevant to offshore structures and marine operations.
* Standards/regulations and best practices on heavy lifting, maritime transport, offshore installation, and grouting operations especially DNVGL-ST-N001 Marine Operations and Marine Warranty.
* Construction planning, Estimations and Risk Management.
* Highly developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams.
* Commercial awareness on T&I and FIDIC-YB contracts.
