Due to rapid expansion, we have a requirement for a Senior Risk Consultant to join our growing Risk team. A senior position within our advisory services business, Senior Risk Consultants lead complex assignments, developing and implementing innovative solutions to help our clients improve operational performance and assure project / programme delivery.

The role requires extensive management consultancy experience, demonstrable expertise in risk management and a high degree of technical capability across project controls, project and programme management.

In addition to technical excellence, the individual will have a sales-oriented mind-set to develop opportunities and grow business with both existing and new clients across transportation, energy, water and defence sectors. The Senior Risk Consultant will lead by example, promoting best practice, supporting the development of others in the team and ensuring the quality of service delivery to our clients

The successful candidate must be prepared to travel, & undertake and obtain security vetting to SC/DV Clearance level.



About you

Qualifications

Degree level education - Engineering, Science, Mathematics discipline or equivalent preferred - Proficiency with common risk tools

Primavera Risk Analysis, SWORD ARM, Palisade RISK - APM PMQ or Prince II - OGC MoR or other risk management qualifications advantageous

Knowledge / Skills / Behaviours

Extensive risk management and consultative assignment experience

Excellent knowledge of risk management procedures, practices & techniques

Experience of producing risk management guidance, and of implementing and improving risk management activities - Detailed understanding of risk model development and experience of Schedule Risk Analysis and Cost Risk Analysis

Sound understanding of planning, budgeting, change control, earned value and other project controls techniques

Demonstrable ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders

Good written and oral communication including delivery of high quality reports, analysis results and delivering training

Positive and enthusiastic approach and able to work without day to day supervision

Passion for delivering innovative and excellent client service

Champions 'doing it right first time and do it safely' through own actions whilst influencing, encouraging and supporting the wider team to do the same

Shares knowledge and initiates discussion, encourages others to develop and share ideas in a way that gives colleagues confidence and pride in their contributions

Must be prepared to travel, & undertake and obtain security vetting to SC/DV Clearance level
