Mould Setter (Contract)

Our client are an industry leading manufacturer of dive equipment, which includes regulators, bladders, instruments and accessories, where there equipment is being used to explore some of the deepest, coldest and most advanced dive environments on earth.

We are immediately recruiting for experienced Machine Setters to work at their Blackburn manufacturing facility, working rotating shifts:- 06.00 - 14.00, 14.00 - 22.00.

Under the direction of the moulding supervisor, successful candidates will be responsible for:-

- Availability of machinery for the production of moulded components.
- Effective and timely setting of machinery ensuring machines are set up correctly and components are to the required quality standards.
- Use a wide range of machinery including lathes, polishers, milling and drills.
- Mould & finish individual components to the pre-set dimensions and standards.
- Perform visual and technical inspection using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Diagnose and remedy machine tool issues to improve efficiency of machine production.

Experience:-
- Apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidates must have experience in machine operation within an engineering environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge in programming and setting injection moulding machines.
- Analytic Skills
