Fire Consultant - Growing Company (Permanent)

From small beginnings, their growing team now offers market-leading consultancy and software, not only in the UK but also internationally, helping clients to understand and control safety and environmental risk sensibly and pragmatically, wherever they operate. They are now widely regarded as one of the top providers in this niche sector, working in close partnership with leading property investors, owners, managers, insurers, occupiers and others.

Key Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a home-based Fire Consultant, based in the South of England, to join our expanding and highly successful consultancy team.
• The focus of this role is to undertake fire risk assessments and fire safety auditing in the commercial and residential property sector.
• It would be advantageous to have an understanding of fire engineered solutions and be able to produce retrospective fire strategies.
• The work will mainly involve attending sites across the UK with further opportunities to extend this service provision within Europe.

Requirements:

• Degree, or equivalent, in a Fire related subject
• 5 year's relevant experience
• Experience in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments in a residential setting
• Thorough knowledge of relevant UK standards and codes
• Proven technical ability
• Good report writing and communication skills

Desirable skills:

• Experience in producing retrospective Fire Strategy documentation
• An understanding of smoke control calculations and thermal radiation analyses
• Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate
