Programme Director - Large International Medical Technology Manufacturer

One of the most important manufacturers of medical equipment in the world is in need of support. Our client needs a Programme Director to help the company grow.

Our client has a really innovative pipeline of products, the company is a leader in life sciences lab equipment. The company's aim is to improve efficiency, save costs, improve the quality of the medical devices available in the marketplace.

Candidate requirements:

  • This is a broad role, the company is looking for a multidisciplinary educated candidate, versatile, cross functional expertise and mindset
  • Able to influence internal stakeholders
  • Facilitator, commercial mindset
  • Solid background in corporate environment + experience in life sciences or highly regulated environments
  • Background in either R&D, Product Development, Quality, Product Management, Technical. Ideally Diagnostics background. Also OK: medical devices, regulatory engineering
  • Flexibility in terms of time. This is a Global role, so the timeframe will be demanding, not a standard 09:00 - 17:00 job.
  • Based anywhere in Europe
  • Senior Manager position currently or recently held is the minimum requirement
  • Individual starters, enthusiastic and highly energetic

Key responsibilities:

  • Nurturing and facilitating the ecosystem around a program, co-evolve capabilities and roles of different teams to work as one, levering synergies and interfaces, creating additional value that a single entity cannot achieve alone.
  • Deep situational awareness of the program's "geography and sentiment", being the center node in the network, enabling information flow, trust, and relationships.
  • Keep laser-focus enabling early benefit realization and program results, ensuring swift program team response on emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Manage expectations and partners by communicating program status and risks to the executive management team.
  • Manage relations/dependencies to other programs and/or related activities.
