Social Worker Assistant - Child Protection Team - Cardiff

A well rated local authority in South Wales is in search of a Social Worker Assistant for their Child Protection team. Paying up to £15/ph this could be a very lucrative and rewarding opportunity.

In the Child Protection team you will be mainly working from home as the only time a visit is required is when the benefit of the visit outweighs the risk of Covid allowing social workers to balance family life. The authority will provide all the necessary equipment including laptops, mobile phones etc so you can work from home efficiently.

Candidates will start as a locum on an initial 3/6 months contract, however many locum workers have stayed at the authority long-term. This is a predominantly stable service with other members of staff being in the post have been in the team for over 2 years.

Your responsibilities would be:

• Working with Children and Families
• Supporting Social Worker across the County Borough
• Managing a Caseload

Requirements:

• Car and Full Drivers License (may consider non car driver)
• 12 Months Experience with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
