Salary: £24,276 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)

The Role:

You will support the Seclusions manager to provide excellence in the daily management of the Seclusion Room and On-call, in order to maintain high standards of discipline and behaviour for students whose conduct prevents them accessing the curriculum. You will supervise students who have been withdrawn from class, in the Internal Exclusion room ensuring that appropriate routines and boundaries are in place. An important part of this role is to work with students to improve behaviour and relationships by organising student led activities so as to empower students to exercise good influences on their peers. You will also arrange Restorative Justice conferences.

Key Requirements:

A knowledge of good practice in educational inclusion, diversity and access is essential and you should be educated to at least Level 3 (A levels or Level 3 Vocational qualifications), a degree would be desirable. You will also need to have experience of working with disadvantaged young people in Key Stages, 3 4 or 5 together with experience of working with other professionals in a multiagency framework.
