The Role As Account Director you will be tasked with the strategic management of key accounts & relationships with a select number of accounts, you will cultivate and develop new business opportunities across multiple sectors selling stock & bespoke promotional merchandise items direct to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the business plan and strategic vision with the ability to communicate the vision to the business unit employees
  • Ensure sales policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed
  • Oversee and continuously strengthens activities in sales and new business development throughout the company. Maximising the efficiency in these functional areas through appropriate direct reports
  • Help your team member with advice on client pricing, licenses, relationships or complaints
  • A leader in the organization relative to the key account base and with new business, client or industry opportunities. Attending pitches when required
  • Provide qualified input to sales meetings & make sure all efforts are in alignment
  • Input to budget development and monitor
  • Enforce the regular updating of the Film Plans
  • Forecast accurately & deliver billing on time
  • Salesforce advocate for your team ensuring all necessary data is stored on cloud
  • Challenging costs every time to improve margin
  • Maximising the efficiency of my team in functional areas through appropriate direct reports
  • Responsible for the Personal development, growth and appraisal of direct reports
  • Help to find new revenue streams where possible
  • Key Performance Indicators: Keep overheads as a percentage of sales in line with budget
  • Net profit, achieve or improve upon as a percentage of sales in line with budget

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years previous sales and at least 3 years of leading a team.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of growing business with large customer accounts.
  • Strong management skills and a natural leader and motivator of people.
  • Industry experience from a company within the same market/industry
  • Promotional Merchandise experience preferable
