The Role

Job Title: General Operative

Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:00-17:00

PERMANENT ROLE FROM DAY ONE!

Salary: £23,000

This is a full-time and permanent opportunity to join a busy warehouse environment in Marchington. The warehouse operative team process incoming deliveries; clean, test or refurbish all our used parts; and put together orders large and small for packing and shipping. The day will fly by as they often have a quick turnaround, but you'll find a lot of training, support and a great team spirit.

The role will involve packing orders from their in-house stock. This busy role requires concentration, motivation and energy; everybody works under pressure to reach deadlines. You will work closely with other warehouse teams, so you need to have good communication skills, a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

This role works directly in the Cold Room equipment line, working closely with the team to ensure that returned equipment is refurbished and ready for hire. Key responsibilities include:

· Keeping your working area clean and stocked and ready to work

· Following health and safety procedures to ensure the welfare of yourself and those around you

· Assisting with unloading vehicles and returning equipment to cold room bay

· Cleaning cold room panels and non-unique assets such as cold room racks

· Picking panels to size of order

· Ensuring order is wrapped accordingly for safe distribution

· Assisting with Loading vehicles and dispatching the assets

· Assisting the cleaning and testing of cold room motors when required

· Supporting wider warehouse team when required

Skills & Experience:

Essential

· Strong work ethic

· Self-motivated and proactive in using own initiative

· Strong team ethos

· Physicality for manual handlingand heavy lifting

Desirable:

· Forklift driving qualification - training can be provided to those with no qualification.
