Job Title: Accountant

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per year (Experience Dependent)

The Role:

We are Carbon Accountancy; we are now recruiting and we want you!

We are an exceptionally skilled Accountancy Practice with offices in London, Reading and Dublin. We are now looking to strengthen and develop our Business Services Team in Reading and recruit an Accountant!

Required Skills/Experience:

• At final stage of ACA, ACCA or qualified by experience, at least three years in a UK practice.
• Prior knowledge and experience in operating Digital Accounts/Tax, Sage 50 Accounts, Sage Cloud, Xero and QuickBooks.
• You are up to date with current accounting issues and conversant with accounting standards and company law.
• Confident with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience of working on a wide range of clients.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to think laterally meaning you are capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions.
• You show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare year-end financial statements and any other related ad-hoc assignments.
• Prepare Corporation Tax returns (CT600).
• Prepare Personal Tax returns.
• Undertake bookkeeping and preparation of quarterly VAT returns on some clients.
• Excellent client liaison skills.
• Work well as part of a team.
