Family Care Solicitor 
A reputable and community focused law firm in Central Manchester are looking to recruit a Family Care Solicitor to join their team.   You will be joining a 5 Partner practice that focus across a variety of law areas, where their main aim is to provide an excellent personal & professional legal service to their clients.  With strong values & beliefs, they seek for employees that fit into their “family ethos” and over time there is an opportunity for career development, learning from an experienced team.

As the successful Family Care Solicitor, you will be confident & experienced in handling your own caseload, being in a position where you will have to challenge decisions made by social services or a government department following the PLO process.  Dealing with a mixed caseload of matters across care proceedings and children’s arrangements, your cases will mainly be Legal Aid, however you will have an opportunity to work on high-cost cases. It is paramount that you have an empathetic and compassionate approach and maintain excellent client care levels at all times.  You will be responsible for handling all matters from instruction through to completion and will have full Secretarial & Paralegal support.

Ideally you will have 2 years PQE however applications will be considered from non-qualified solicitors with a strong background in this area.  With a competitive salary you will be rewarded with some great benefits including pension scheme, generous holiday package and an opportunity for some home working.
