Early Years Practitioner (Permanent)

Job Title: Nursery Early Years Practitioner

Location: London

Salary: Up to £25,000 per year (experience dependent)

Job type: Permanent, Full time.

At Harmony Neighbourhood Nursery we aim to nurture children’s positive self-image through valuing their opinions; encouraging them to think independently, questioning and developing their own view points. Children are provided with ample opportunities to build and apply their skills in more practical contexts.

We are looking to employ an early year’s practitioner who is knowledgeable in children’s development, dedicated, caring and reliable. The ideal candidate will be qualified to level 3 or equivalent and have at least 2 years post – qualifying experience.

**Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Level 3 in Childhood Practice or equivalent.
• Work experience within the Early Years Sector.
• Knowledge of the early year’s curriculum and regulatory requirement.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding children.
• Desire and passion for ongoing learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
• Observe, support and extend children's learning.
• Plan appropriately for children using the curriculum of excellence/ pre-birth to three.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
• Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
• Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand, and when necessary follow, Safeguarding Procedures.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Work as a team with other staff members.
