PROJECT ENGINEER - SOLAR PV PRODUCTION

I am looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join an innovative and globally recognised Renewable Energy client to deliver their patented Solar PV technology for worldwide production. As the Project Engineer with a strong background in production processes and equipment manufacturing you will be responsible for the upscaling of the facility to ensure demand is met.

As the Project Engineer onsite, you are responsible for the engineering and delivery of the equipment to the factory requirements and work closely with suppliers and contractors during the entire realisation process. Starting with specifying equipment, reviewing quotes and ending with commissioning and integration in the production line. You will ensure that the new equipment achieves the required quality, efficiency and reliability in the production process.

Activities:

  • Writing equipment specifications for the production processes
  • Providing technical direction for suppliers and contractors
  • Review and improvement of designs by suppliers
  • Ensuring quality in design and fabrication work
  • Installation, commissioning and release for production of equipment
  • Providing input for and checking of interfaces and integration of equipment

Requirements:

  • Bsc or Msc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology or similar
  • Minimal 5 years relevant working experience
  • Experience with production processes and equipment manufacturing
  • Track record in working with equipment manufacturers
  • Strong communications skills
  • Pro-active and creative mindset
  • Demonstrated application of technical skills in practical solutions
  • Strong and independent in problem solving
  • Team player with the capacity to work on several projects at the same time
  • Experience in working with CAD software, preferably Solid Works
  • Experience with PV industry and winding / roll-to-roll technology is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, fluent in Dutch is an advantage
