KS2 SEN Teacher (Contract)

Are you a KS2 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity?

If so, here at Destination Education, we are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Primary Teacher who is up for a new challenge, you will be working in a Secondary School due to SEN needs of Year 7 pupils who all have an EHCP.

This position is a September start, Full Time, Fixed Term Contract.

Should you be successful in your application you will become part of the SEND Department at a beautiful 11-16 co-education secondary school based in Hornchurch, Essex. The school considers its workforce talented, hard-working and pride themselves on supporting their students holistically and encouraging them to have a positive impact on wider communities as well as the school.

KS2 SEN Teacher Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the SEND and Intervention team
• Work with children with specific needs to differentiate the curriculum (KS2) to meet the needs of the children across both core and non-core subjects
• Assessing and reviewing the pupil in line with school policies
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and work closely with the Lead Practitioner and SENCO with multi-agencies to provide the appropriate programme for the child

KS2 SEN Teacher Requirements:

• Specialist knowledge and skills in speech and language development would be advantageous
• Be able to work creatively and collaboratively
• Applications from ECTs are welcome
