Exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer / Assistant to join fantastic Welsh Ambulance Service HR Team!

Job Title: People Service Assistant
Location: Hybrid working from home and one of the localisations: St.Asaph, Swansea or Cwmbran. (2-3 times a week working from office)
Full time Monday - Friday 9am -5pm, 37.5 hours per week
6 months Temporary contract.

Band 4
Pay rate: £10.29 - £12.73 per hour

Job Description:

- To work within People Services function and the HR Helpdesk, to ensure all contact is triaged and support and guidance is given to all colleagues sign posting to the People Services Partner and People Services Advisor where necessary and as appropriate.
- To provide a high level professional service which includes policy help and general HR issues.
- To ensure that WAST managers have support in all front line HR matters.
- To support the People Services team where required.
- Embed a culture of customer service excellence, promoting Equality Diversity & Inclusion and through their role support the implementation of the People and Culture Strategy.

Requirements:

* Diploma level qualification in a professionally related subject or equivalent level of experience in a WF&OD role.
* Level 3 CIPD
* Associate CIPD membership
* Sufficient recent experience in a Generalist HR Admin capacity
* Experience in guiding managers on policies and procedures
* Good understanding of HR policies & procedures
* Experience of using HR databases to record and access information
* Experience in providing admin support and minute taking
* Advanced keyboard skills including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff / management / unions
* Ability to prioritise and organise a large volume of work with frequently changing priorities and work systematically towards tight deadlines
* Flexibility: with an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
