Sales Account Manager (Permanent)

Acorn Recruitment are searching for an ambitious Account Manager to join our client, a leading distributor of chemicals headquartered in the Northwest. Covering the Northwest, your time would be split between working from home, visiting customer sites, and working in the Head Office.


The purpose of the role is to look after an existing set of customer accounts, maximising sales whilst building and maintaining lasting customer relationships. The role of Account Manager will also require identification of new business potential and subsequent sales development.


Your duties will include:

* Promote a range of products and services to current and prospective customers
* Look for new customers to sell new and existing products
* Deal with customer enquiries, orders, and pricing queries
* Manage and update the CRM customer database system
* Arrange and plan customer visits; produce visit reports
* Be well organised and maximise the potential in the sales area
* Prepare quotations/respond to price requests
* Respond to sample and information requests quickly
* Meet/exceed agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and performance targets.


It is essential the successful candidate is from a chemical sales background with previous experience in a field-based sales role.

Any knowledge of the Aerospace, Medical, Automotive of Electronics sectors would be ideal and a university degree - Chemical or Chemical engineering would be a distinct advantage.

A full Driving Licence is required, as is the desire to work autonomously to achieve personal development and success in this account management role.
