Randstad are recruiting for an experienced IT Training and Innovation Specialist for Belfast Metropolitan college.

Requirements

  • Hold a Level 6 qualification in an IT related discipline Plus have 1 years industry and/or training experience delivering in the field of IT
  • OR Hold a Level 4 qualification in an IT related discipline Plus have 3 years industry and/or training experience delivering in the field of IT
  • English GCSE and Maths (Grade C or above) OR Essential Skills level 2 or an equivalent qualification
  • At least one years demonstrable industrial/training experience in two of the following areas (please provide details): Programming, Cloud, Computing, IT Networking, Data Analytics, Databases, Cyber, Security, Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in the design and delivery of IT solutions through either training, mentoring or product development
  • Experience of assessing the training or product development needs of businesses or individuals
  • Experience of delivering projects successfully against project objectives and timeframes

Responsibilities

  • The role will work closely with businesses to design, develop and deliver training, as well as to explore the design and feasibility of innovative new products/services concepts.
  • Business support delivery may include courses, bespoke mentoring, innovation projects, or webinars/events in specialist subject areas etc.
  • To meet and consult with industry to understand and assess their objectives and design bespoke solutions tailored to meet their requirements
  • To ensure that all training courses are influenced by potential trends, opportunities, new technologies and developments to ensure the College is up to date with rapidly changing technologies
  • To work in collaboration with the Business Development Team to respond to company needs and ensure the College's offering is reflective of the needs of industry.
  • To support the development of marketing and recruitment communication to promote IT Training and Innovation programmes to industry
  • To design, develop and deliver a range of technical and business-based IT training programmes, from awareness sessions and bespoke business training to industry standard qualifications.
  • Prepare and design training programmes with learning activities that deliver outstanding learning experiences in an inspiring, motivating, encouraging and enthusiastic way that can relate to the learner's role within their organisation
  • To develop, update and maintain materials necessary for the delivery of training including lesson plans, support materials, learner handouts, visual aids, pre-course materials and other relevant resources as industry requirements change
