NonStop Care is working with a well established charity with a very good reputation in the County Durham area in order to help them recruit for a Service Manager who can join their Family Time, Supervised Contact Service. This is a permanent role, offering you stability.

Within this service, the charity works with children that have been removed from the family and are now in foster care, residential care or living with their grandparents. Here they will do contact sessions where parents are coming to have supervised contact with the children.

Some of the children can go back home but that is a very small percentage, usually they will be moving into long term fostering placements or adoption.

You will be based at their office in Stockton-on-Tees, however you will have the flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities:

The Service Manager will run this service and will oversee about 22 -24 staff members. However you will have two coordinators that are experienced and that do the rotas and that support the team, so you will have a lot of help from them.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the service, provide leadership, supervision, training, develop the service and make it best practice.

You will also support the Operational Manager with strategic planning, monitoring and reviewing the development of the service in line with identified priorities, targets and outcomes.

Benefits:

  • Good salary that can get up to £42,000 per annum
  • Flexible working hours - can work from home 2 - 3 days per week
  • very good annual leave
  • very nice and experienced team
  • ongoing training and development opportunities
  • opportunities for career progression

Requirements:

Please apply if you have management experience and if you have experience in working with families in conflict and understanding importance of remaining impartial, objective and focused on the needs of the child/children/young person at all times.

You will also have a recognised professional level 4 qualification in social work or social care, health, education or equivalent experience, and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development.

They are happy to consider an experienced Qualified Social Worker, Senior Practitioner, Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager coming from a Fostering or Adoption background.
