Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Location: Battersea, London

Salary: Up to £27,000 per year (experience dependent)

Job type: Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week)

We are looking to recruit confident, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work in our small 38 place nursery based near Battersea Park! Our staff look forward to being part of the children's learning adventure!

We aim to give the children the very best start in life, helping them flourish and develop in a naturally warm, relaxed family atmosphere. We are fortunate to have a large outdoor environment with pets and spacious rooms, well resourced! Not only do we aim for the children to make childhood memories with us, but our staff to also make fond memories!

You will also work closely with the management team, contributing ideas, your commitment and supporting the on-going success of the Nursery (Lunch/Meals provided).

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring babies and young children are happy and safe.
• Planning, observing, assessing and preparing a wide range of educational activities.
• Working within Policies and Procedures of the Nursery.
• Working with parent/carers.
• Being an active, valued member of our team!

• Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe, stimulating environment to meet their development needs.
• Ensuring all curriculum processes are completed in line with the EYFS.
• Ensuring the setting is compliant with all regulatory matters.
• To provide and work to a daily routine for the nursery as well as allowing for flexibility when spontaneous learning opportunities arise.
• To be a Key Person and to help maintain the children's developmental records.
• Engaging with parents and carers promoting quality play experiences.

Qualifications and desirable experience:

Level 3 or above in Childcare and Education desirable although we will consider untrained individuals looking to pursue a career in early education through an apprenticeship, as we believe in sharing our skills and experience!

• Be qualified to level 3 or above in Early Years and Childcare.
• Have experience of working in a similar role and environment.
• Worked effectively and efficiently within in a team.
• Good knowledge and understanding of EYFS.
• Experience of working as a team and with parent/carers.
