The Role

TNS has an excellent opportunity to join our highly skilled Global Network Operations team, requiring the application of your payments network experience and expertise in a varied role. We're looking for someone to bring their troubleshooting mind to our technical challenges.

Primarily covering escalation support for TNS Payments services and network infrastructure, the role involves exposure to a wide range of platforms and technologies including proprietary applications, Cisco / Juniper Routing and Switching in a large scale BGP network.

Responsibilities

  • Support resolution of escalated service incident tickets.
  • Support major incident management.
  • Incident root cause analysis.
  • Problem management resolution.
  • Network maintenance.
  • Providing on-call support (rota based) and occasional out of hours work.
  • Support for disaster recovery activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • 4-5 years' experience in a mission critical network operations environment, ideally within the payments services arena
  • Proven knowledge and experience of TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge and experience working with the Linux OS.
  • Knowledge and experience in MPLS, ISIS, BGP, NAT, HSRP, IPsec VPN, IP load-balancing
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the configuration of Cisco, and Juniper routers, and switches.
  • TAC case management and escalation process.
  • Proven ability to effectively project-manage their work.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of the banking, transaction payments or telecommunications sector and PCI.
  • Previous experience with Remedy workflow tool.
  • Fundamentals knowledge of Cryptography, IPsec, TLS.
  • F5 Load balancers.
  • Linux/Unix scripting skills.
  • Previous experience in broadband technologies such as ADLS and WWAN.
