Assistant Site Manager - Commercial Fit Out (Contract)

Are you an assistant site manager with a background in commercial 'fit out' projects and black CSCS card?

6 x Assistant Site Managers are required to support the commercial high end fit out of a large land mark building project in North London, ensuring that works within the assignment work areas are managed properly to ensure they meet terms of the contract in all aspects including the terms of programme, specification, quality control and health and safety.

Supporting the main contractor to meet tight deadlines the role of Assistant Site Manager will involve;

• Deputising in absence of the site manager
• Promoting co-operation between all contractors and trades to co-ordinate all fit out operations
• Undertaking all necessary site inspections of workplaces, access equipment, plant and other equipment
• Ensuring that all site H&S and emergency procedures are brought to the attention of all operatives, consultants or visitors during their site induction training upon their first visit to site
• Managing all associated health and safety and subcontract day to day problems
• Managing resources of the project to maximise output

The successful Assistant Site Managers will have the following attributes;

• Accredited with Black CSCS Card, SMSTS & First Aid at Work
• A good communicator at all levels i.e. site labour, head office, suppliers and client based site team
• Proven experience as a Assistant Site Manager on major fit out projects
• Experience with 'High end' fit out projects
• Confidence to make decisions, be adaptable, be able to handle pressure and communal change
• Must be able to cope with all the demands of running a site, whilst being overseen by a Site Manager
• Good level of IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages
• Recent and relevant experience
• Strong organisational skills with proven time management skills

Rate: £150 - £200 a day
