Credit Controller (Temporary)

Are you an experienced credit controller ready for your new role? Do you want to work in a professional office, for a leading telecommunications company?

We are looking for an immediate start credit controller to work either on a temporary or temporary to permanent basis in Shirley. The company are a telecommunications company who offer a lot of services including broadband solutions. You will be working in a large, open plan office within the finance department. The primary responsibility of the role will be to assist in the efficient collection, control and administration of monies owed to the Company within the guidelines determined by the agreed credit terms.

Your Responsibilities as a credit controller

• Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating re-payment plans
• Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
• Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
• Process designated payments
• Maintain computerised and manual systems in order that payments are correctly allocated to their respective invoices.
• Regularly making contact with customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary
• Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
• Propose write off of irrecoverable receivables
• Credit checking potential new customers and monitoring of existing customers credit ratings

Your Skills/ Experience

• Need to be firm and organised
• The ability to work in a team and individually
• Sound decision-making
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good Computer Skills
• Use own initiative
