Our client is small but very successful real estate financial consultancy that offers a wide range of financial services to high value residential as well as corporate clients. They are currently recruiting for two roles:

1) A pure Business Development Manager, who will do market research, generate leads, hunt out various new markets to penetrate, attend real estate auctions and who will make a first approach while building and maintaining a client pipeline (£25,000 -£27,000 basic, with uncapped OTE £70-90K)

2) A Relationship Manager who will close all business passed over by the BDM, but who will also seek out new business. This is a more senior role suited to someone with gravitas, maturity, who has worked in Banking of Financial Sales for 4-5+ years in property lending and has prior experience in Bridge Finance/loans, or other Real Estate Financial Services/ Private Equity etc.

This role would be perfect for someone who has a readily available contacts/clients that they could bring with them, the benefit of the move would be substantial commissions with this firm, the Relationship Managers earn between £100,000 -£200,000 OTE! The basic salary is in line with experience, paying up to £40,000.

The Relationship Manager must have prior lending experience and be able to handling credit papers and transactions from start to finish.

Main Purpose / Objective of Roles:

1) Generating and leading prospect client pipeline
2) Collating information and producing credit papers
3) Liaising with lenders
4) Handling transactions with all parties (client, lender, solicitors, valuers, etc) from start to completion"

Key Responsibilities, Behaviours & Actions

a) Identifying opportunities to grow the revenue of the company by introducing new Real Estate client base to the company for raising debt on transactional mandates of a minimum £1m in the UK/Europe via telemarketing, professional contacts, referrals or by attending networking events, auctions, etc.;
b) Creating and maintaining a portfolio of Real Estate clients through promoting, reinforcing and delivering the company's Client and Business Development Philosophy;
c) Completing full due diligence over new potential clients and collating necessary information on the transaction ;
d) Preparing meeting notes and filing them for any new potential clients;
e) Negotiating fees with new potential clients with the intention of achieving high return for the Company's services
f) Preparing credit papers on the client's potential lending request to be presented to the prospective lender(s);
g) Liaising with lenders to quote and win transaction business at acceptable margins taking into account commerciality and overall client view
h) Negotiating with valuers with the intention of achieving optimal results
i) Ongoing follow-up with professionals (lenders, solicitors, valuers) to ensure the transaction is dealt with in a timely fashion and completion is achieved within required deadline
j) Preparing detailed quarterly business plan, which covers relevant goals and objectives;
k) Reporting on a weekly basis to the Head of Credit re. its current pipeline and weekly objectives and targets
