My client is a growing FORS accredited Logistics company based in Crawley. They specialise in palletised freight movement. Being one of the leading members of the pallet network they lead an operation of 40+ vehicles ranging from 3.5t to 44t trucks plus a number of trailers. They are looking for someone who will help the company continue to grow whilst constantly looking for ways to improve policies and procedures.
Duties include:
* Ensuring the company is fully compliant with the Goods Vehicle Operator's licence, in line with the current legislation.
* Driver compliance and accident monitoring.
* Ensure maximum productivity is achieved throughout the fleet.
* Recruitment, induction, training and performance management of all drivers.
* Maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers.
Skills required:
* Previous management of a sizeable fleet.
* Budget/cost control.
* Ability to work to strict time constraints.
* CPC Road Haulage qualification is essential.
* Class 1 Driving licence.
* Good people management skills.
* Strong vehicle technical knowledge.
