I am looking for a qualified primary teacher to join the primary department in a 'Good-Outstanding' ASD school in South East London from September. The school is a mixed primary and secondary school that mostly specialises in teaching children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as children with complex social and interaction difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties (SLCN). This school has recently moved to a brand new custom built premises which facilitates an immersive technology room, outdoor gym (with climbing area and ball court), soft play and sensory room.

This is a permanent position for someone looking for quite a challenging yet rewarding class. You would be teaching a class of 6 students with the help of 3 TA's. As students' needs range across the autistic spectrum, you would need to be able to create differentiated lesson plans and be confident in delivering a wide range of subjects including art, music, design technology and computing.

The school aims to maintain a relaxed and happy atmosphere for the students in which pupil's behaviour has consistently been rated 'Outstanding'. The school are looking for a teacher with excellent behavioural management skills in order to maintain these standards, and any experience in Makaton or TEACCH would be advantageous.

The successful ASD Teacher would:

• Be a qualified primary teacher with QTS
• Have UK classroom experience
• Have experience in working with ASD students
• Have an up to date DBS
• Be able to provide 2 references
