My client, a global electronic organisation, currently has a contract opportunity for a System Administrator (Devops Engineer) to assist with the development and maintenance of the platforms and tools used within their projects. The role of System Administrator (Devops Engineer) will involve working closely with the development, testing and infrastructure teams to engineer solutions in areas including, build configuration, system administration and deployment and configuration. Candidates for the role of System Administrator (Devops Engineer) would also require proven experience with Administration around Jenkins, Git and Jira.
Key responsibilities:
The r Systems Administrator (Devops Engineer) role will require the successful candidate to work with the build and development team to engineer solutions in the following areas:
- Source code management
- Software builds and configuration
- Management and system administration
Essential skills:
- Demonstrable experience with Jenkins
- Strong working knowledge with source code management using tools such Git
- Administration experience around Jenkins, git and Jira
Desirable skills:
- Experience with Maven, ClearCase and ClearQuest
- Nexus, Antifactory and Confluence
