Senior HR Advisor - West Midlands (Birmingham or Coventry base) - £31,000 to £36,500

Our client is a growing organisation specialising in the field of education services, due to growth, they are now looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support their operations in the West Midlands including some travel to London sites.

Working in close conjunction with senior managers at sites in Birmingham and Coventry, the Senior HR Advisor will provide a robust and comprehensive HR service to managers and staff across these Midlands sites as well as some London operations. This will include support on complex ER issues to include disciplinary, grievance, safeguarding, performance, absence and long term sickness. The organisation recognises education unions therefore experience of working with them will be an advantage.

Part of your role as Senior HR Advisor will be to help create, gather and present HR MI information to help with areas such as performance management and to help align resources affectively. You will also need to support the sites with HR processes ensuring compliance as well as interpretation locally of policy. You will also support locally with recruitment processes, development, talent & succession. This could include support with change management such as restructures.

Although this role is part of a larger HR team including dedicated teams to support with areas such as recruitment, the role itself will be the only HR representation locally; therefore you will need to be a self starter, able to stand on your own two feet. You will need to be able to be pro-active and manage your own workload and diary. Your communications will need to be excellent as you will resolve HR issues over email, telephone and face to face.

There will be some travel n the role across the 4 West Midlands sites as well as some occasional travel to 3 sites in Greater London. To be successful in this role ideally you will be an experienced HR generalist CIPD qualified to at least level 5. If you have experience of working with education professionals this would be an advantage as would knowledge of Teachers Pay, T&Cs and teaching unions.
