Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a Permanent opportunity based in Edinburgh.

Senior Project Manager to join our Edinburgh Project Management Practice.

The team delivers a variety of projects across Scotland within both the public and private sectors.

You'll become a core member of the Project Management Practice and will be responsible for the high quality delivery of technical projects from inception to completion ranging in value from £1m to £100m. You'll be challenged, rewarded and have the opportunity to further progress yourself professionally.

This is a key role working with existing clients and developing new projects. You'll often have the opportunity to provide support on projects throughout our UK offices and internationally. You'll provide a full, efficient, and effective Project Management and design service with the following primary responsibilities:

Identifying project requirements and drafting Project Briefs

Procuring and appointing a Project Team

Developing and managing project governance

Managing Client expectations and undertaking stakeholder liaison

Developing effective and efficient delivery and procurement strategies

Understanding the application of RIBA Stages or other recognised delivery methodology applicable to the construction industry and be able to schedule complex design and construction programmes

Managing commercial aspects of the project

Understanding design management principles

Producing concise and informative reports

Actively promoting health and safety awareness

Managing risk, change and value management processes

Administering JCT and NEC Forms of Contract

About You

Ideally degree qualified, you'll have full membership of a recognised professional body or working towards full membership (e.g. MCIOB MAPM MRICS, or other equivalent technical institution such as MICE, MIMechE etc)

You'll have experience managing a diverse client portfolio ensuring that projects are delivered in line with client needs and that risks, issues, and milestones are effectively addressed.

Comfortable with providing professional and technical advice you'll be able to deliver cost effective, innovative solutions on time, within budget, and in line with appropriate quality standards.

You'll have extensive knowledge of working on construction projects with multiple stakeholders and be fully conversant with Microsoft Project a working knowledge of NEC 3 form of contract. ARISCA Risk, PRIMAVERA (Risk and Schedule) would be beneficial.

Responsible for the progression and management of multiple projects on site as a key interface between the design team, client contractor, and stakeholder some cost consultancy experience would also be advantageous.
