I work with a small, very friendly and exceptionally well run SEN school in Barnet who are seeking to appoint a top quality Maths Teacher to teach Maths to secondary MLD & ASC up to and including GCSE level. The position is a permanent post starting at Easter or earlier.

A great SEN Primary and Secondary School in Barnet London is looking for an experienced Secondary Maths teacher with good SEN knowledge Maths to their students with moderate SEN needs. You will be teaching Maths ranging from Entry Levels 1-3 up to GCSE. This position will be full time Monday - Friday and you will teach on a secondary model delivering to a range of classes throughout KS3 and 4. All classes are accompanied by their own TAs (2 per class) who move around school with the students.

The pupils have moderate learning difficulties including autism but they are at the high functioning end of the spectrum and their needs are largely social rather than academic. As a result the school are looking for a great Maths teacher with the empathy and emotional intelligence to tap into the needs of thses pupils.

• QTS is essential
• Experience working in a SEN setting with children who have MLD / ASC
• Experience planning and delivering Maths lessons to Entry and GCSE Levels
• Manual handling and wheelchair hoisting, PECS, Makaton training is desirable
• Must be organised and must have confidence to manage support staff
• Must be able to start at Easter 2018
• Two teaching based references from UK required
