Senior Cables Engineer (Permanent)

We are looking to recruit a Senior Cables Engineer who can be based either at our Clients Swindon or London offices, with some travel throughout the UK and some Global travel.

Role Description
Principally involved in large offshore projects the Senior Cables Engineer will manage all technical aspects and associated risks relating to the cable engineering throughout the project life cycle including where necessary the development and delivery of associated offshore transmission systems.

You will act as expert on all cable components on wind farm cable systems and offshore transmission systems.
Alongside this you will be responsible for specification and design review for all aspects of cable design.


Skills and experience
Qualified to degree level
Ideally the Candidate will hold at least 10 to 15 years experience within a Power, Utility, Oil & Gas (Interconnectors), Cable Engineering background.
Detailed knowledge of cable systems, accessories and installation
Understanding of Industry Technical Codes, Process and Regulations
Experience in working with Transmission System Operators
You will be articulate and have the ability to lead team members and be confident in making Technical discussions.
