Associate / Principal Project Manager (Permanent)
Our client is looking for an Associate / Principal Project Manager for a Permanent Opportunity based at Faslane, with visits to the clients office in Edinburgh.
We're looking for a commercially minded Project Manager (Principal / Associate level) to join our multi-disciplinary team in Scotland.
Playing a key role within the HMNB Clyde project team you'll be experienced in the successful delivery of NEC3 contracts and working within the defence sector.
This position will be predominantly site based, with visits to our Edinburgh office on a routine basis.

You will require SC Clearance to work on this commission and should either already possess this or be clear that there is no personal obstacle in you achieving this clearance. (Your employment will be dependent on successfully achieving SC Clearance).
In this key client facing role you'll be responsible for:
Monitoring and managing the project works using the NEC3 suite of documents, including all EWN, CE, etc.
Leading and managing the Site based team in the delivery of the project, building effective working relationships with the client enabling expansion of the team at HMNB Clyde
Engagement and stakeholder management with the client and the site maintenance provider
Management of the Design team
Reviewing the Contractors design proposals against the requirement of the contract documents and advise on deficiencies / changes if needed
Using Primavera Schedule and MS Project software to interrogate the contractors programme and to monitor, record and report on his progress.
Produce fortnightly Progress Reports on the Contractors progress against schedule, expenditure of risk allowances etc.
Working collaboratively with the Directors in the delivery of this project
Attending all Works Contractor's meetings, chairing where necessary
Recording the daily and weekly events of the Works Contractor's progress and compliance with the contracted requirements and produce weekly and monthly reports for onward transmission to the DIO PM
Lead regular Risk Workshops and assist the QS in the management and implementation of the Risk Register
About You
Ideally you'll be an experienced in both project and programme management and hold a relevant professional qualification such as APM Project Management qualification.
It is essential that you're:
Experienced in the successful delivery of infrastructure projects using NEC3, specifically within the defence sector.
Proficient in the use of specialised scheduling software such as Primavera Scheduling & Risk and MS Project
A team player and a keen, progressive, versatile individual who can adopt a flexible approach
An excellent verbal and written communicator, able to build strong relationships at all levels
Extensively experienced in the construction industry
