Payroll Officer/HR Administrator - Part Time - Rare Opportunity (Contract)
A consistently growing business based on the fringes of the City Centre requires an experienced Part-Time Payroll Officer with additional skills in HR Administration. Starting as soon as possible, the position is a long-term fixed contract for 18 months with this leading employer.
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- The timely processing of 2 monthly payrolls and also other other UK & Ireland Group companies on occasions
- Managing all employee payroll, tax P11D and other pay or benefit related queries
- Administering all starters and leavers
- Preparing and submitting P11D forms to Inland Revenue
- Administering pensions, life assurance schemes and ensuring all new starters are auto-enrolled
- Processing season ticket loans and other loans
- Administering all private medical insurance including updating the broker of new entrants and leavers
- Producing monthly and quarterly reports on payroll and costs
- Dealing with general enquiries from internal staff regarding non-routine decisions
- Producing auto enrolment letters each month for new joiners to pension scheme
- Completing HR system administration and updating personnel records
- Supporting with recruitment and documentation of HR processes
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Numeracy
- Extensive UK payroll experience including payroll administration and query resolution experience
- Experience of manual payroll calculation, tax codes and payroll legislation
- Organised and able to work unsupervised and on own initiative
- Knowledge of UK HMRC processes
- Experience in some HR practices such as HR Administration
