A consistently growing business based on the fringes of the City Centre requires an experienced Part-Time Payroll Officer with additional skills in HR Administration. Starting as soon as possible, the position is a long-term fixed contract for 18 months with this leading employer.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • The timely processing of 2 monthly payrolls and also other other UK & Ireland Group companies on occasions
  • Managing all employee payroll, tax P11D and other pay or benefit related queries
  • Administering all starters and leavers
  • Preparing and submitting P11D forms to Inland Revenue
  • Administering pensions, life assurance schemes and ensuring all new starters are auto-enrolled
  • Processing season ticket loans and other loans
  • Administering all private medical insurance including updating the broker of new entrants and leavers
  • Producing monthly and quarterly reports on payroll and costs
  • Dealing with general enquiries from internal staff regarding non-routine decisions
  • Producing auto enrolment letters each month for new joiners to pension scheme
  • Completing HR system administration and updating personnel records
  • Supporting with recruitment and documentation of HR processes


Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Numeracy
  • Extensive UK payroll experience including payroll administration and query resolution experience
  • Experience of manual payroll calculation, tax codes and payroll legislation
  • Organised and able to work unsupervised and on own initiative
  • Knowledge of UK HMRC processes
  • Experience in some HR practices such as HR Administration
