An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced UK Security Operations Manager to join a unique company based in Stevenage within their UK Security division.

Working in the global defence industry, they currently have 10,000 employees across their UK and European offices and are now looking to increase their headcount by 5% in 2018. Reporting into the Head of UK Security & SHE, the UK Security Operations Manager is responsible for managing a large, multi- skilled, in- house and out- sourced security team with responsibility for delivering physical, information, personnel and project security solutions across 7 sites in the UK.

Primary Responsibilities of the UK Security Operations Manager:

  • Leading & developing security teams to deliver high quality and business-orientated policies and processes in support of the company's business activities.
  • Devise and implement processes and procedures for the company to maintain compliance with mandated HMG and company security requirements.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with relevant external MoD and Home Office organisations and law enforcement agencies.
  • Establish and implement procedures to protect company property, employees and classified information both on and off sites including the dissemination of threat assessments.
  • Manage the effective provision of a Technical Security Counter-Measures capability.
  • Support the activities of the Information Security team such that the physical security environment complies with mandatory national and international Government accreditation of the company's classified IT systems.
  • Manage the Project Security Planning process through development of positive relationships with project teams and creation of effective supporting processes.
  • Ensure that UK and overseas off-site trials activities have an enabling and structured security framework that ensures mandatory requirements and recognized best practices are adopted.
  • Provide a security consultancy service and investigation support to the company.

  • Professional qualification in relevant security discipline.
