Early Years Teacher (EYFS Teacher)

Location: Croydon and Lewisham
Start: April 2018 and September 2018

Contract: Full time - Permanent contract and a Maternity Contract (min 2 terms)
Salary: matched to candidates' qualification & experience

The Schools:

We are supporting two clients, our first Client is widely regarded preparatory school in the London borough of Lewisham, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Early years teacher to join their dedicated and enthusiastic teaching team from September 2018.

Our second Client is a boy's preparatory school, based in Croydon and is seeking maternity cover from April 2018, for two, possibly three terms.

Both independent prep schools are ISI 'Excellent' school and feed into some of the best senior schools in London. Small class sizes and excellent resources ensure the dedicated staff and parents at the school secure the best future for the pupils. In addition, both schools offers a broad extracurricular programme and children are encouraged to partake in a wide variety of enriching activates in and out of school hours.

Our first Client is currently looking for a suitably qualified Early Years teacher to join the school, from April and second Client is looking for an Early Years Teacher to join from September 2018. The incoming teacher should be a warm and engaging practitioners with an interest to take part in the wider life of the school. The successful applicant will be given responsibility for an early years class, on a full time permanent commitment. Candidates should be enthusiastic teachers and have exceptional knowledge of the core subjects at this level. Behaviour at the school is excellent and children make consistently outstanding progress throughout the school.

The Successful Candidate:

Essential:

  • Successful Teaching experience, within an early years setting/ prep school
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities
  • ability and confidence to teach high-achieving students and support less able students
  • at least 12 months experience of working in a similar role
  • personal characteristics that work well with Pre-school children

Desirable:

  • QTS

Salary will be determined on the schools own generous scale and dependent on skills and experience.
