CAE Parc Aviation is currently assisting a client with the recruitment of Human Factors Manager to join their Flight Operations department.

Summary

The Human Factors Manager is a highly professional team player whose role would be to join Flight Operations Department dedicated to continuing the development of effective human factors related training programs, projects and safety initiatives.

Role Function and responsibilities

* Work closely with Corporate Safety to determine the causal factors of incidents and unplanned events, identify and recommend where the human factors improvements can be made to minimize the probability of reoccurrence.
* Maintain the ongoing administration of human factors programs that will enhance the safety outcome of flight operations.
* Maintain the development and efficient delivery of Crew Resource Management (CRM) / Non-Technical Skills (NTS) initial, recurrent and command training programs in compliance with regulatory requirements for flight crew and cabin crew.
* Collaborate with Corporate Safety to identify relevant internal occurrence report analysis to be developed into case studies for classroom learning.
* Ensure all programs implemented are smart practices, are current with latest research, development, and industry advances, and are aligned with flight operations and inflight services procedures and practices.
* Create an awareness of the importance of CRM training within all areas of the Company.
* Plan and design Human Factors Training modules
* Ensure sufficient CRM facilitators trained and available to complete all annual HF training requirement.
* Co-ordinate appropriate training across relevant departments
* Plan and schedule all Human Factors training in accordance with various departmental training guidelines.
* Assign adequate resources to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Prepare annual HF budget

Required Educational Background

* A comprehensive knowledge of human factors issues and concepts, awareness of different cultures and human performance in complex, dynamic systems.
* Minimum 10 years' relevant aviation experience including at least 5 years' involvement in the human factors discipline.
* Degree holder or equivalent in aviation or related disciplines.
* Ability to implement projects and programs with autonomy and represent yourself with credibility as a human factors specialist and advisor to the organization internally, and externally as a credible speaker and professional representative at conferences and seminars.
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Factors or Psychology would be an advantage
* A self-motivated team player and confident leader with excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills.
